The Wandle Ringers are delighted to be taking part in our Christmas Tree Festival and will be playing a mixture of seasonal and popular tunes.
The concert will last about an hour and a quarter, with refreshments served at the end.
The Wandle Ringers were formed in 1986, and rang as the South Norwood Belles until 1988, when a change of rehearsal venue and the introduction of gentlemen necessitated a change of name! The team play a five octave, 61 bell set of Whitechapel handbells, plus duplicates, and five octaves of Malmark handchimes.
The team has played at many prestigious venues, including St Margaret’s, Westminster; Founders’ Hall in London; Kensington Palace, Southwark Cathedral, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Westminster Hall as well as local venues including Fairfield Halls. They have represented the SE region at the annual Handbell Ringers of Great Britain National Rally on two occasions.
